Before and after

The difference, photographed.

These are our own contracts, photographed before we started and after we finished. Nothing here is a stock photograph and nothing has been staged — which is why the lighting is a working building's lighting rather than a studio's.

Washroom

A public-facing washroom taken from litter-strewn to clean, with consumables restocked as part of the same visit.

Kitchen

A staff kitchen with food residue across the sink, drainer and surrounding surfaces, degreased and returned to a usable standard.

Speckled vinyl floor before cleaning, dulled by ingrained soilingBefore
The same vinyl floor after cleaning, noticeably lighter and evenAfter

Hard floor

A vinyl floor lifted out of ingrained grey traffic marking — the kind of soil a routine mop stops touching.

External walkway before clearance, blocked by refuse sacks and cardboard boxesBefore
The same walkway after clearance, swept and unobstructedAfter

External access route

Accumulated waste and flattened cardboard cleared from an external walkway, and the route swept back to a safe width.

Pile of refuse sacks and cardboard stacked against green railings before clearanceBefore
The same area after clearance, ground swept and railings clearAfter

Waste clearance

A build-up of bagged waste against a boundary railing removed, and the surrounding ground cleared and swept.

A photograph shows one day. What we are actually accountable for is the standard holding on the next visit, and the one after that — which is what our supervision and the same regular team are there to do.
